Lest some poor, helpless, sex-deprived male
Be roused, she wears long robes and veil;
The sway of her breast
Hints at what may be guessed
Of her body within, soft and pale.

Hospitality
When a stranger came to the oasis,
Young women would veil their faces;
They wouldn’t say no
To a little root, though,
On a simply hospitable basis.
Willing
Her eyes downcast, she blushed, then went pale;
To be thus addressed by a male.
He loved her, he said!
He must take her to bed!
Inshallah! Yes! Thank God for her veil!
